Michael E. Bertin is a Philadelphia based family law attorney who focuses his practice on child custody and divorce including the negotiation and litigation of domestic relations cases, divorce, custody, support, alimony, property distribution, prenuptial agreements and related issues. Mr. Bertin also maintains an office in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania located in the heart of the Main Line.
Divorce and child custody issues in particular are some of the most emotional and complex of all the legal issues facing people today. Mr. Bertin provides his clients with step-by-step guidance to reach resolutions that protect the interests of his clients and their children.
Mr. Bertin, an in-demand author, co-wrote the book on Pennsylvania child custody law. His book, Pennsylvania Child Custody Law, Practice, and Procedure, consists of carefully condensed law and forms that keeps attorneys and the courts current on all areas of Pennsylvania child custody law.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bertin has been recognized and honored by his peers and the legal community for his outstanding work. His recognitions include:

Mr. Bertin is a former chair of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and the current co-chair of its Custody Committee. He also holds the officer position of First Vice Chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, is a member of its Executive Committee and Council (the governing bodies of the Section), and is a former chair and member of its Procedural Rules Committee, Legislative Committee, and Program Committee. Mr. Bertin is a member of the Board of Managers (the governing body) of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Bertin also serves as chair of Obermayer’s Pro Bono Committee.
