PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENTS AND POSTNUPTIAL AGREEMENTS |
A prenuptial agreement, or antenuptial agreement, is a contract entered into by two parties in anticipation of their marriage. The purpose of a prenuptial agreement is to control the outcome of a possible separation or divorce of the parties. Agreements between parties who are already married are called postnuptial agreements and the principles that govern prenuptial agreements are also applicable to postnuptial agreements. |
